Brass- Made of Brass, has valves, like one large bell all stretched and wrapped up and into itself- think intestines!! (Ewwww !! ) Examples; Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn, Cornet etc. *Not Saxophone, Saxophone lives in the….

Woodwinds– Originally made of wood, lots of holes carved into it! Frequently has a Reed Mouthpiece ….Examples- SAXOPHONE, Flute, Piccolo, Kazoo, English Horn, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon

Strings– Any instrument with strings that you can strum, pluck, or bow!! Examples- Violin, Viola, Cello, Upright Bass, Harp, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Ukulele  🙂

HERE ARE SOME GAMES-

Instrument Spinoff– Test your knowledge!!

Instrument Family Game– Test your Knowledge!!

Instrument Family Football– Try to pass the Football to the other player on your team, then answer an instrument question to advance.

More to come soon, in the meantime, what are some  *”Found” Instruments* that you can create from just the materials you have around you?! – Maybe a drum set from some pots and pans, leftover cylinders from oats containers, or cans?

Who is going to try the tissue box guitar?! (What happens if you add more pencils under the elastics, how will that change your sound?!)
